Ali stylistically burns the outside of the gourd to a rich brown to prepare a landscape for her beautiful geometric mandalas. Revealing the natural light brown color of the gourd, each Ali gourd is truly inspirational. Her mandalas reflect flowers, mountains, spirals, and other natural elements. 

Each Ali gourd comes with a 10-page booklet detailing its use in South American culture and instructions on how to cure, pack, and care for your gourd. 

These gourds are roughly the size of an average apple, some are a little bigger, some are a little smaller. Variation occurs because they are natural, you will find these very comfortable to hold in your hand.
